Tradeline

Defined by Onias Derilus, Mortgage Capital · NMLS# 1859012 · Florida licensed mortgage broker

A tradeline is any account on your credit report, such as a credit card, auto loan, or mortgage, with its history and balance.

What Tradeline means

Lenders look at the number, age, and payment history of tradelines. Thin credit files with few tradelines can make qualifying harder, even with no negatives.

Florida example

A Florida buyer with only one credit card may need alternative tradelines, like rent or utility history, to round out a thin file and qualify for the best available program.
