Does a VA loan have a loan limit?

For borrowers with full entitlement, there's no VA loan limit — you can borrow as much as the lender will approve with no down payment. Limits only apply when your entitlement is reduced by an existing VA loan.
This makes VA powerful even for higher-priced Florida homes. We'll confirm your entitlement status and how large a no-down loan you can get.
No limit with full entitlement
For veterans with full entitlement, there is no VA loan limit. You can borrow as much as a lender approves with zero down, even on high-value Florida homes.
The old county loan limits no longer cap borrowers who have their full entitlement available.
Partial entitlement
If you already have a VA loan or defaulted on one before, limits can apply to your remaining entitlement, and a down payment may be needed above a certain amount.
